Wilderness Rootedness

You went into the wilderness

to face yourself

in the face of God

and model to us

a necessity for retreat –

Sabbath.

To recognize ourselves

in the Imago Dei

and the urgings of the Spirit

within and without ourselves

amidst wilderness rootedness.
